Meupe is pleased to announce monthly Ambassador From Everywhere live events at Spectrum Project Space in Northbridge (221 Beaufort Street). The series will create a regular listening space for experimental music in Perth, Western Australia by developing and supporting local artists. In association with ECU/WAAPA, each event will feature a live performance from a WAAPA Music Technology student.
The first installment occurs on Tuesday September 30 at 7pm featuring:

The Broken Sound is a two-night experimental music event taking in everything from abstract-folk to no-fi noise. Taking place on Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th of September at Spectrum Project Space (221 Beaufort Street, Northbridge). The Broken Sound will host performances from Brisbane sound artist Tom Hall, as well as marking the live debut of circuit bending artist Obscotch, cinematic sampler Probehead and doom/drone/sludge outfit Steak Knife.
A free compilation CD will be available to the first 40 payers on each night including tracks from each of the performers. Drinks will be available by gold coin donation and there will be projected visuals to keep the eyes as satisfied as the ears. Entry each night is $6, or $10 for both nights. Doors open at 8pm each night.
